GOOD FRIDAY

I offer Jesus my deepest sympathy and compassion

My daughter, today meditate on My sorrowful Passion, its immensity; meditate on it as if it had been embarked on solely for your sake” (Diary 1761).

“Good Friday. I saw Jesus tormented, but not nailed to the cross, it was still before the crucifixion, and He said to me, “You are My heart, tell sinners of My mercy.” And the Lord gave me inner knowledge of the great depth of His mercy on souls; and I realised that all that I had written was indeed but a drop” (Diary 1666).

“At three o’clock, I saw the crucified Lord Jesus. He looked at me and said, “I thirst.” Then I saw the same two rays that are in the painting come out of His side. Suddenly, in my soul I felt a desire for the salvation of souls and to immolate myself for poor sinners. I offered myself up with the dying Jesus to the Eternal Father for the world. With Jesus and through Jesus and in Jesus is my communion with You, Eternal Father. On Good Friday Jesus’ soul suffered in a different way than on Holy Thursday” (Diary 648).
