Update Regarding the English Divine Mercy Retreat 2026

It is with great sadness that we share the news of the sudden passing of Fr. Jason Jones, who was to serve as the retreat leader for our English Divine Mercy Retreat, Mercy Made Manifest in the Upper Room, to be held from 20–23 August 2026 at the Shrine of the Divine Mercy in Kraków-Łagiewniki.

Fr. Jason was a devoted priest, a faithful servant of Divine Mercy, and a cherished friend of our English-speaking Faustinum community. Many participants will remember him with gratitude for his previous retreats, his deep love for Our Lord, and his gift for leading others into a deeper relationship with Jesus.

We continue to remember Fr. Jason and his family in our prayers and entrust him to the infinite mercy of God.

Following this unexpected loss, Faustinum has been blessed to find another priest at short notice who has kindly agreed to lead the retreat.

We are pleased to welcome Fr. Sławomir Jędrych, MS, a Missionary of La Salette with 31 years of priestly ministry, including 22 years serving on missions in the United Kingdom. In his pastoral work, Fr. Sławomir has been actively involved in leading retreats and formation programmes, accompanying individuals and communities in their spiritual growth and Christian formation.

The theme of the retreat will remain unchanged:

Mercy Made Manifest in the Upper Room

“When on Holy Thursday I lift Myself in the Blessed Sacrament,
You were very much on My mind.”
(Diary of Saint Faustina, 1774)

We are grateful to Fr. Sławomir for his generosity and willingness to serve our retreat community, and we look forward to welcoming him to Kraków this August.

We thank all participants for their understanding and continued prayers as we prepare for this special time of reflection, prayer, and encounter with God’s mercy.
