On the evening of that first day of the week, when the disciples were together,
with the doors locked for fear of the Jewish leaders,
Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!”
After he said this, he showed them his hands and side. The disciples were overjoyed when they saw the Lord.
Dear Apostles of Divine Mercy!
We are approaching Easter, during which we will rejoice in the mystery of the resurrection of Jesus Our Lord. We believe that all of us will also share in what happened in the Upper Room on that first day of the week.
We believe that the Risen Jesus will come and stand in the midst of our homes, families and communities, and He will say to us as He once did to the apostles: “Peace be with you.” He will also show us his wounds, assuring us of a love from which nothing can separate us, even suffering and death.
We wholeheartedly wish you and your families a deep encounter with the living Jesus, and to experience his merciful love and peace with which He wants to fill our hearts. Let this meeting and experience of His living presence transform us, our families and communities, and make us rejoice as we see the Lord who really IS and LIVES WITH US!
Be assured of our prayer for you and your families.
United in paschal joy
