Mission in Singapore

From April 24 to May 2, Sr. Maria Vianneya Dąbrowska and Sr. Eliana Chmielewska went to Singapore with the mission of mercy. The sisters took part in the last days of the Novena and the Feast of Mercy at the Cathedral of the Good Shepherd. Every day, they also met with many people sharing the message of God’s mercy and their testimony of faith.

Although there are very few Christians in Singapore (about 4,000 Catholics for almost 6 million inhabitants), their faith and commitment to the Church can impress many. It is not surprising, therefore, that each year new people convert to Catholicism and begin to prepare for Baptism. Churches are full, chapels and places of adoration of the Blessed Sacrament are often open all day and night, and people are not afraid to profess their faith in God. The devotion to the Divine Mercy and its new forms of  worship have already been known there for many years, but the opportunity to listen to the talk on Divine Mercy and meeting with the sisters of St. Faustina attracted many people. They asked questions, wanted to share their experience of mercy and ask for prayer. Their simplicity and the beauty of faith will remain in our hearts for a long time.
