On April 26-28, Sr. Miriam and Sr. M. Terezjana were on the mission of mercy in France where in the diocese of Chartres they met with various communities. They proclaimed the message of mercy in the retirement home for priests and in the convent house of the Sisters of St. Paul. But the main goal of the sisters’ mission was to meet with the “Faustinum” groups founded at the Shrine of Divine Mercy in Gallardon. The group of adults that was started at the Shrine a few months ago takes part in the formation program of our Association. The new thing at the Shrine is the group for children called “Mini Faustinum”, which meets to learn about the life and mission of Sister Faustina.
The main event of the sisters’ mission in Gallardon was the celebration of the Divine Mercy Sunday. The Sisters gave a talk on the significance of the Feast of Mercy in the life of the Church and of every human being, which was followed by the Holy Mass and veneration of the relic of St. Faustina. The participants of the ceremony were deeply moved when they worshiped the Divine Mercy and venerated the relic of St. Faustina. After the Mass there was an Agape feast in the House of Mercy after which all went for a prayer at the Hour of Mercy. We thank God for this time of grace and mercy in which the parishioners and pilgrims experienced the special presence and intercession of St. Faustina. We rejoice that at that time Jesus’ desire about which He told St. Faustina was also fulfilled: My daughter, tell the whole world about My inconceivable mercy. I desire that the Feast of Mercy be a refuge and shelter for all souls (Diary, 699).
