“Chosen souls are lights in My hands which I cast into the darkness of the world to enlighten it. As the stars illuminate the night, so the chosen souls illuminate the Earth, and the more perfect a soul is, the greater the light it radiates and the further that light goes; it may be hidden away, unknown even to those closest to it, yet its holiness will be reflected in souls at the furthest parts of the world.” (D. 1601)
Thus spoke the Lord Jesus to the holy sister St. Faustina about consecrated souls. These chosen souls have a particular vocation: to carry the light of God into the dark spaces of the human heart, give them hope, [lead them] to discover the meaning of life, awakening them to an ever greater love of God. They need our spiritual support to fulfill this vocation. This is why every day, and especially on the 2nd of February, the Day of Consecrated Life, we keep in our prayers the religious men and women and all who make vows to follow the evangelical counsels. Let us pray through the intercession of Mary, that they may become ever more holy and more similar to the chaste, poor and obedient Christ. For the more perfect a soul is, the more God can work miracles through them…
