Invitation to the Days of the Apostles of Divine Mercy

Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ – Apostles of Divine Mercy!

I cordially invite you to the DAYS OF THE APOSTLES OF DIVINE MERCY that will take place on September 30 to October 6, 2019 at the Shrine of Divine Mercy in Krakow-Łagiewniki. The meeting will be attended by members and volunteers of the Association of the Apostles of  Divine Mercy “Faustinum” and representatives of the Apostolates of Divine Mercy from various countries of the world.

The theme of the Days of the Apostles of Divine Mercy will be: “I HAVE LOVED YOU WITH AN EVERLASTING LOVE” and it will be prayerful and formational in character. Each one of us longs for love. We often look for it in creatures or in goods that pass away. As a result, many times we have already experienced that nothing can fill the longings of our heart – only God. His love is faithful, eternal and unchanging. God Himself assures us, saying: With age-old love I have loved you; so I have kept my mercy toward you (Jer. 31: 3). He loves us always and He is merciful, even when we waver or are even unfaithful. Jesus said to St. Faustina: Before I made the world, I loved you with the love your heart is experiencing today and, throughout the centuries, My love will never change (Diary, 1754). Today He says these words to each one of us.

During the Days of the Apostles of Divine Mercy, we want to rediscover God’s eternal love for us. We want to open ourselves to it and experience it. Our program will include: daily celebration of the Eucharist, Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, conferences as well as group meetings and testimonies. Rev. Krzysztof Wons, SDS will speak to us about the mystery of God’s mercy revealed in Scripture while Sisters from the Congregation of Our Lady of Mercy will give conferences on the spirituality of St. Faustina.

On October 5th, the 81st Anniversary of the Death of St. Faustina, we shall thank God for the gift of her life and mission especially during the solemn celebration of the Eucharist. Our celebration will end with a Prayer Vigil by her grave concluding at 10:45 PM – the hour when our Saint said to God her final I trust!

Let us meet in Łagiewniki, to thank God for the gift of St. Faustina and for the graces that she constantly implores for us. Let us spend these days in community in order to be strengthened to walk the byways of life in the spirit of mercy. I kindly ask you also to take this event as a prayer intention so that it may bear fruit and blessings in our hearts.

Application forms for the Days of the Apostles of the Divine Mercy and detailed information will be available at vicepresidfaustinum@gmail.com.
