They prostrated themselves and did him homage (Mt 2:11).
This Sunday, we ponder the mystery of God’s revelation to man. Today the Magi from the East come to Bethlehem to worship the newborn Jesus. Today, together with Saint John, during the baptism of Christ in Jordan, we hear the words: You are my beloved Son; with you I am well pleased (Luke 3:22). Also today we remember the miracle of turning water into wine in Cana in Galilee, the first miracle of Jesus, after which … his disciples began to believe in him (J 2:11). The three revelations of God – the ones of: his presence, his love and his power combine on the same day. Which one of them do I need most now? Sister Faustina shows us in the Diary how to be constantly open to the coming of God, how not to give him limits and accept the grace with which He comes. He is Emmanuel, God with us, always present and proclaiming the Word of life. He wants to reveal his power in our weaknesses; his presence in the moments of our loneliness and abandonment – He wants to reveal his love in the moments when we experience rejection, suffering or any life’s failures. He wants to do it now. Let Him do it.
