The most important piece of news for you is that you are not alone in this fight. Whatever you fight for – Jesus is with you, and He will protect you. Your enemy will come as close to you as God permits him. And you must be aware that you are loved by God unconditionally! It is as if at the boxing match the referee was the father of one of the boxers. And yet you have a bond with God that is much stronger than blood ties! So what is unacceptable in a sports fight is accepted in spiritual warfare. When it’s too hard for you – just hold on to the referee! He himself encourages you to do it, as He encouraged Sister Faustina with the words: I am your strength, I will help you in the struggle (D. 1485). And she did so: When the burden of the battle becomes too much for me, I throw myself like a child into the arms of the heavenly Father and trust I will not perish (D. 606).
