81st Anniversary of the holy sister, St. Faustina’s departure from earth to the House of the Father

5th of October. Exactly 81 years ago at 10:45 p.m., Sister Faustina Kowalska departed from this earth to go to the House of the Father. Her mission, however, did not end with her death.  The mission of proclaiming the message of God rich in mercy and the spreading of new forms of worship of Divine Mercy continues to this day. Members and Volunteers of the “Faustinum” Association, as well as Apostles of Divine Mercy from different parts of the world are just among the many who have undertaken this task.  A task that we have become more convinced about during this 3rd International Days of Apostles of Divine Mercy.

Today, during the 3:20 p.m. Mass with the Most Rev. Jan Zając presiding, the “Faustinum” Ceremony of Acceptance of New Members will take place. Twenty (20) new Members of the “Faustinum” Association –with the help our Patron, the holy sister St. Faustina– will make their promises to strive for holiness along the road of trust in God and the fulfillment of mercy toward neighbor. They come from various countries: Poland, Germany, Canada, Spain, Ireland and the USA.

By this act they express their desire to participate in the spirituality and mission of the Congregation in which our holy sister, St. Faustina lived.  Like her, they will proclaim the Divine Mercy and implore it for the whole world by their deed, word, prayer and personal witness of life. Let us remember them and in a special way embrace them in our prayers so that they may, with zeal and dedication, fulfill their vocation to be Apostles of Divine Mercy.

Today a vigil with St. Faustina will take place. It will begin at 8:30 p.m. and end at 10:45 p.m. –the time when Sister Faustina passed on to the House of the Father. We cordially invite you to join us in vigil as we praise and worship the Divine Mercy for the gift of St. Faustina’s life and holiness.
